ARUME Governance Committee Report, January 21, 2000

The ARUME Governance Committee consisted of: M. Kathleen Heid and Annie Selden, Co-chairs, David DeVries, Clare Hemenway, and Pao-sheng Hsu. The charge of the Committee was to take the transitional bylaws approved at the January 1999 business meeting, and members comments thereon, and draft a set of permanent bylaws.

Discussions, mainly via e-mail, began in Spring 1999 and intensified in June/July 1999. The draft document was considered, discussed, and amended at the August 1999 business meeting in Providence, Rhode Island. As amended, it forms the current ARUME By-Laws.
